Assistive Product Farberkennungsgerät FaMe

The device identifies objects or clothing, compares colors, recognizes structures and has a light finder. The three-color sensor enables a very fine color resolution. FaMe names the most common colors and indicates their saturation, brightness and direction.

FaMe has only two buttons: A short press on the left button triggers the color measurement and the acoustic color announcement is made. A short press on the right button also triggers a color measurement. Now, however, this second color measurement is compared with the previous one and it is only announced whether the second color measurement differs from the first or not. This color comparison measurement makes it possible in everyday life to match pairs of socks, for example. If the right button is held down, the light finder or structure recognition is activated. By changing the pitch of the tone, light conditions or differences in brightness can be recognized: The higher the tone, the brighter the ambient light or surface.

The device is now also available as FaMe Plus, this product variant has a memory function for 100 images.
