Assistive Product EasyReading

Product Type:

Training Software
Educational Software
Prototype

Areas of Application:

- Reading and Language Impairments

Description:

The cloud-based software offers people with reading and language impairments the opportunity to individually adapt the content and structure of websites,
so that the content is presented in a personalized manner. Symbols, videos and images can be used to explain the content. In addition, texts
can be translated at different language levels such as corpse language. Users always have the possibility to switch between the original and the customized website.
It is possible to save the personalizations in a separate profile. This is based on performance level, comprehension, preferences, mood, attentiveness, context and the individual learning curve.
The project implements peer research, which means that people with inclusion needs are directly involved in the research and development processes and help shape them.

The tool is available free of charge and can be installed and used as a plugin via the Google Chrome and Firefox internet browsers. The product is currently in the beta testing phase.

Other:

This project is a consortium of various research institutions and companies. It is funded by the Horizon 2020 research and innovation program of the European Union.
The experts of the PIKSL laboratory (Person-centered interaction and communication for more self-determination in life) were also involved.
