The reading card index and the worksheets for comprehension reading are based on sentence-picture matching in four levels of difficulty. The reading tasks begin with very short sentences and progress through simple sentences to comprehension of longer sentences with difficult words. The reading file also contains a solution page for each sheet, which enables the children to check their own progress.
Repetitive task formats mean that the children can also work through the exercises independently. The copy templates can be used to systematically promote reading for all children.
