Stimulators for the treatment of pain
Electrostimulation devices usually use stimulation current of different frequencies. Transcutaneous electrical nerve stimulation (TENS) stimulates the nerves by means of electrical pulses through the skin. The aim is to change nerve sensitivity and reduce pain sensitivity.
Therapy goals are, for example, to eliminate or reduce acute or chronic pain and thus to reduce the need for pain medication or to restore motor functions - for example after lumbago, stroke or paraplegia.
