Stimulators for pain management
Electrostimulation devices usually use stimulation current of different frequency. Transcutaneous electrical nerve stimulation (TENS) stimulates nerves by means of electrical pulses through the skin. The aim is to change nerve sensitivity and reduce pain sensitivity.
Therapy goals are, for example, to eliminate or reduce acute or chronic pain and thus reduce the need for possible pain medication, or to restore motor functions - for example after lumbago, stroke or paraplegia.
