Muscle stimulators and vibrators
Electrical muscle stimulators (EMS) irritate muscle cells with electrical stimuli, causing muscles to tense or relax.
Vibrators are devices that generate rapid vibrations for therapy.
Therapy goals of muscle stimulation are, for example, the treatment of muscle injuries, the strengthening of muscle mass and the reconstruction of paralyzed muscles, the promotion of blood circulation or the training and strengthening of the pelvic floor muscles in acute or chronic incontinence conditions (in the case of continence stimulators).
Vibrators include, for example, massagers for relaxation or percussors for draining mucus from the lungs.
