Description:
These thrombosis prophylaxis stockings are used to prevent venous thrombosis (blood clots) in immobile, bedridden patients and possibly resulting pulmonary embolisms. The area of application extends to thrombosis prevention, during and after surgery.

The venous return flow of the blood is accelerated by a continuously decreasing compression pressure from the ankle (approx. 18 or 21 mmHg) to the thigh (approx. 8 mmHg).

The thrombexin 21 variant is designed for patients who already have pre-existing venous damage due to its higher pressure in the ankle area.
