The MOTOmed loop Parkinson enables fast, motor-assisted rotational movements of up to 90 revolutions per minute (Forced Exercise). The fast, guided movements can help to reduce tremor (muscle tremors), improve walking ability and restore purposeful everyday movements. The MOTOmed loop Parkinson's is upgradeable.
The MOTOmed loop impresses with its unique digital intelligence and visual appearance. Almost all models can be upgraded in terms of features and functionality via an upgrade bundle. The MOTOmed loop is also characterized by its unique height adjustment, which allows users to adapt the height of their MOTOmed models without tools, as well as the quick and easy changeover from arm to leg training. In addition, the high-quality material of the softly rounded surfaces of the MOTOmed next generation meets the high hygiene management requirements of facilities and clinics.
Training changeover by touch
Training changeover made easy: with the MOTOmed loop p.la, the changeover from arm to leg training is controlled directly on the display. The MOTOmed loop p.la responds digitally by touch and automatically switches the training mode. The new 7" color touch display is easy and intuitive to use and offers intelligent functions in an innovative form. Of course, the display is also suitable for wipe disinfection. The MOTOmed loop p.la also offers a wide range of other intuitive functions such as:
Different therapy programs with predefined sequences
Therapeutic games and videos
Slideshows can be played during training
Functions
Step-in aid
The step-in aid function makes it easier to place the feet in the footrests before starting training. Using a button on the control unit, the person using the device can move the footrests smoothly into the appropriate position.
Movement protection
If a muscle cramp, spasm or movement blockage (freezing) occurs during training, this function stops the pedal movement. It does not matter how the basic tension of the muscles changes; the MovementProtection does not remain constant, but automatically adapts to any change. As a result, it always remains optimally sensitive. This function is implemented in all MOTOmed models by a sensitive sensor system.
Spasm loosening program
This function works closely with the MovementProtection and can loosen and release detected spasms or cramps. The basis for the development of such a function is the following therapeutic principle: flexion spasticity is released by stretching and extension spasticity by bending. The automatic change in direction of rotation of the spasticity release program can release the cramps detected by the movement protection. If a cramp occurs, the motor gently stops the crank movement. Legs or arms are relieved and after a resting phase, the direction of rotation is gently changed. This process is repeated until the cramp is released.
ServoPedalling / ServoTurning
Similar to a bicycle with an auxiliary motor, the MOTOmed ServoPedalling (leg training) or ServoTurning (arm training) function supports the person using it in performing their active movement. The function enables the user to perform active movements even with minimal effort. Residual muscle strength can be recognized and built up without excessive effort.
SymmetryTraining
The SymmetryTraining function has a beneficial effect when it comes to specifically strengthening the weaker side. The presentation of the function differs depending on the model. With the MOTOmed viva2, MOTOmed gracile12 and MOTOmed letto2 models, the user can see how much of their strength is being exerted on the left or right side of the body by means of a 2-bar diagram. On the MOTOmed muvi and the MOTOmed loop edition and MOTOmed layson edition models, this function is displayed using an animated figure. This graphical representation allows the user to use their "weaker" side of the body in a targeted manner during training. Symmetry training prevents overloading of the healthy extremities.
Training feedback
All MOTOmed models provide the user with a wide range of training feedback. Training values such as duration, distance, symmetry, total metabolic rate, tone, average and maximum active performance as well as the active and passive training portion can be read on the screen by the user both in real time during training and as an overall evaluation after training.
