LokoHelp is an electromechanical gait trainer based on the end-effector principle. The mechanical support for stance and free leg phases is provided at the feet as the last link in the kinematic chain. The patient should not be moved passively, but should participate as actively as possible. Knee and hip extension should be controlled by the patient if possible.
