Biofeedback refers to a method that uses technical means to make biological body processes and states that are not consciously perceived visible. The devices respond to a specific physical or physiological function with audible, visible or palpable signals.
Biofeedback devices can be used, for example, for targeted breathing exercises by influencing the heartbeat and relaxing it. Likewise, correction mirrors are considered biofeedback devices that visually control movement or speech exercises.
