Description:
(according to the supplier)
For people with foot-lift weakness, a lot of concentration is needed to avoid stumbling. Every bump in the ground becomes a danger zone. The almost automated movement process of "walking" confronts the affected person step by step with a task that he must perform consciously. This is at the expense of the perception of his environment. Very often, in the case of foot drop weakness, the foot does not touch down with the heel first when stepping, but with the forefoot or the entire sole of the foot. A natural rolling of the foot and forward swinging of the leg is no longer possible with foot drop weakness. The affected person cramps and walks abnormally, sometimes even with clawed toes.
The forward swing of the leg is achieved by a circular hip movement. In the long term, sufferers who move in this way complain of pain in the hip and pelvis.
With the forefoot lift, targeted exercises activate the neural control of the responsible muscles (mainly the anterior tibial muscles) for a better gait pattern.
The leg remains completely relaxed during execution. Concentration is on the forefoot and the anterior shin muscle. The toes should remain extended during the exercise and not be pulled upwards additionally.
The textile resistance bands can be replaced without tools so that they can be washed in the washing machine when used by several people.
