The company is a supplier to the automotive industry.

Disability and functional limitation of the employee:

The man has only one lung wing and should therefore not be used for activities with a high body load or a high stress of the cardiovascular system by static / dynamic muscle work. The degree of disability is 90.


The man works as a production assistant at the employer.

Workplace and work duties:

The production assistant works at a assembly workplace in production. He can no longer perform his tasks (pre-assembly of car parts), which are connected with the assumption of static body holdings and the manual handling of loads. In order to reduce the burdens for him and thus enable further employment, the workplace was: - a height-adjustable workbench for working in sitting or standing posture, - an ergonomic work chair, - a storage device (revolving rack) to which the various mounting parts are removed at an ergonomic height; and - an electric fork lift truck with which heavy parts can be easily transported fitted.

Funding and participation:

The integration office encouraged the handicapped design. The consultancy was carried out by the engineer's specialist for the disabled-oriented work design of the Integration Office - the so-called Technical Advisory Service.
