• severe lumboischialgia with muscular deficits with significant disc protrusion/prolapse
• Severe, radicular, pseudo-radicular lumbar syndrome (resistant to conservative treatment)
• grade II spondylolisthesis or with recurrent lumboischialgia
• severe lumbar deformity with facet syndrome/arthrosis
• condition after thoracic surgery without remaining paresis in a cleared thoracic spine:

The application and wearing of such assistive products may be contraindicated in the following clinical pictures:

• Skin disease/injury in the treated body part
• Inflammatory symptoms, raised scars with swelling, redness and overheating
• Sensory disturbances
• Severe restriction of cardiopulmonary performance
• Risk of increased blood pressure with applied assistive products and increased physical exertion

Modular system (3-step therapy):

1. Stage 1: Immobilization in an entorodosing position
In the 1st stage, immobilization is achieved in an entorodosing position in the lumbar spine area by means of the thermoplastically deformable and height-adjustable plastic frame inserted in the back; rotation is significantly restricted. The natural rubber material used means that the patient remains partially active. The extent of muscular atrophy is minimised during additional training.

2nd stage: Reduction of flexion
In the 2nd stage, the rigid metal rods of the frame are replaced with flexible rods. This initiates the adjustment towards the physiological lumbar lordosis, but the patient is still stabilised by the frame, flexion is reduced and the physiological lordosis of the lumbar spine is almost restored.

Stage 3: Activate
In the final stage, the patient is left with the spinal support bandage with flexible limb pad as long-term assistive products. The aim is to restore the patient's original level of function, in particular full reintegration into the work process. The prescription of a lumbar support with pad can be dispensed with.
