Description:
First stage of therapy:
Protection and stabilization of the surgically treated structures by bridging in a discharged position.
In the phase of acute pain, the protection and stabilization of the affected structures of the lumbar spine is crucial. By bridging the affected segments, the orthosis causes a relative restriction of movement in the released position.
2nd therapy stage:
Stabilization of the lumbar spine and reconstruction of the musculature.
In this phase of therapy, the orthosis is adapted to the improved muscle coordination. By removing the bridging element, the lordosis of the lumbar spine is almost restored. At the same time, the patient experiences more freedom of movement, which promotes the development of natural muscle function.
3rd therapy stage:
Support of the muscular stabilisation and coordination of the lumbar spine.
The support element is now removed as the muscular performance increases. The orthosis compresses and supports the muscles of the lumbar region. A pad can be used during this therapy phase. The massaging effect of the pad improves blood circulation and thus promotes muscle function.
