An ear prosthesis replaces part of the ear or the whole ear. However, as there are also patients with a missing pinna and conductive hearing loss, the necessary hearing aid must also be included in the treatment phase.

The artificial ear is made of medical silicone and is shaped so that it appears like a natural ear. A bone conduction hearing aid attached to the movable headband can be worn. The better solution is an implanted bridge framework for the artificial ear and a bone anchor, also implanted, for the hearing aid. The latter option is the better solution from a cosmetic point of view.

If only one pinna is required, only the bar framework is necessary.
