Assistive Product ToeOFF-Family, Wirkungsweise und Auswahlkriterien

Product Type:

Dynamic ankle and foot orthosis

Description:

The dynamic ToeOFF ankle / foot orthoses are used for the long-term care of patients with weak leg muscles (especially in the area of the foot lifters).

The ToeOFF family consists of various orthoses that are based on specific selection criteria should be used:
  • Ypsilon dynamic ankle and foot orthosis
  • ToeOFF 2.0 dynamic ankle and foot orthosis
  • BlueRocker dynamic ankle and foot orthosis
  • KiddieGAIT - dynamic ankle / foot orthosis for children
The fiber composite construction of Orthoses allow the patient a longer load phase on the impaired leg. This improves the stride length and shortens the stride frequency. The lifting of the feet and support when pushing off the toes result in a natural and dynamic gait pattern (an essential feature of dynamic ankle / foot orthoses).

Depending on the orthosis used and the associated different stiffness of the construction in the ankle area more or less control over the ankle and proximal joints is achieved. Various gait analyzes show the benefits of dynamic ankle / foot orthoses compared to conventional peroneal orthoses:
With the use of the orthoses from the ToeOFF family, walking capacity and the level of activity are significantly increased and damage to the postural and musculoskeletal system is prevented.
