Orthoses and prostheses

Orthoses and prostheses provide assurance and contribute to an independent lifestyle.

Orthoses act externally directly on the body. They are used to stabilise, relieve, immobilise or mobilise limbs or the torso or to correct malpositions. They can also partially replace failed functions or prevent deformities.

Prostheses completely or partially replicate missing or damaged body parts such as limbs, ears and nose as well as organs or organ parts. They provide functional compensation and restore the visual appearance.
