Adaptive wheelchairs can be optimally adapted to the requirements of the user. They are usually made of light metal and there are rigid and folding models.
Prior to procurement, dimensions and functions can already be selected that are suitable for the user. Various setting options make it possible to adapt to individual requirements. Because of these "active" functions, these wheelchairs are often called active wheelchairs.
For adaptive wheelchairs there is usually a wide range of optional wheelchair accessories available. In addition, in combination with special auxiliary drives, it is possible to cover longer distances or negotiate inclines more easily.
