Impairment of mobility due to chronic or temporary functional limitations of the foot, ankle and/or distal lower leg and satisfactory coordination, e.g. after/with:

• Fractures of the ankle, tarsus or metatarsus
• Injury to tendons surrounding the ankle
• Severe soft tissue injury to the foot and ankle
• Complex ligament injuries to the foot and ankle
• Amputation at the level of the distal lower leg, ankle, Midfoot or toes
• Revision surgery of the lower extremity
• Injury to the lower extremity with concomitant damage to the upper extremity
• Osteochondral injury to the ankle or tarsus
• After surgery on the calcaneus or tarsus After operations on the calcaneus or other tarsal bones
• After serious surgical procedures on the forefoot
• In patients with bone bruise
• Arthrodesis of the ankle
• After correction of severe foot deformities such as clubfoot, flat foot, cavovarus foot

The NH1 is designed as an assistive products to compensate for disabilities for people with chronic or temporary functional limitations of the foot, ankle and/or distal lower leg. Ergonomically correct positioning of the lower leg of the affected limb enables mobilization while simultaneously relieving the affected leg.

The NH1 enables the user to move around safely both at home and in the vicinity of the home if this is not possible or only possible to a very limited extent with other assistive products alone, such as a walking stick or forearm crutches.
