Walking frames can be used to compensate for gait unsteadiness. They offer users more stability than rollators and are also used for walking exercises.
Few common criteria can be described for walking frames, as the individual products differ greatly and can be individually assembled with accessories.
Frequently, the products have a frame with usually four ground contact points - for example, two rigid and two swiveling wheels or four swiveling wheels with locking option. There are walkers with a seat, seat pants or seat belt as well as with supports for forearms/armpits or with thorax rings to support the upright posture.
