Assistive Product Sensormatte CareMat

The CareMat is used in retirement and nursing homes as well as in hospitals and similar facilities. It is positioned directly in front of the care bed and is connected to the in-house nurse call system. As soon as the person in need of care leaves the bed and steps onto the CareMat, the pressure-sensitive sensor mat triggers an alarm via the nurse call system. Staff on duty can thus determine when and where a patient has left the bed at any time of day or night. The CareMat is designed to help provide immediate assistance, which should reduce the risk of falls or people in need of care wandering off.
