With the emergency call app, people can call the police, fire department or rescue services in emergency situations. The app is designed so that an emergency call can be made entirely without the use of speech. Therefore, the app is particularly suitable for people with hearing and speech impairments.
The nationwide emergency call app was developed under the leadership of the North Rhine-Westphalian Ministry of the Interior. Due to high demand, the app is currently not available via the app stores, but only via support: people with speech or hearing impairments can request individual access by mail (via
kontakt@nora-notruf.de) to request it.
