The calculated light guide illuminates the field of view without an additional light source. The object is magnified by the attached magnifier and reproduced without distortion. If the distance between the eye and the magnifier is small, a magnification of up to 6x and more can be achieved through accommodation.

The result is a jitter-free image, as bright field magnifiers are placed directly on the reading material.
