Assistive Product OrCam MyEye

OrCam MyEye, is a wearable device with powerful assistive technology by making visual information available through announcements. The device's miniature camera can be attached to any pair of glasses. It uses artificial intelligence to read out texts, recognize faces and identify products.
A mini loudspeaker is placed on the temple next to the ear. The base unit is integrated into the camera unit, making the device wireless. The camera continuously captures the visual space in front of the person using the device in their natural line of vision. As soon as the person points their finger at a specific text, article or paragraph in the field of vision or alternatively presses a switch on the base unit, the device converts the visual information into audio information that is output via the earphones.
The volume can be adjusted using specific push buttons on the base unit. If the ambient light is too dark for text recognition, the additional lighting is switched on automatically. Integrated WLAN enables automatic software updates. Automatic language recognition can automatically recognize the language being read aloud.
The microphone allows the user to name other people and products. Up to 100 people and 150 products can be stored on the control unit, which also offers storage space.
The new voice-based "Hey OrCam!" function can be used to activate text reading, facial recognition and product identification. The keywords "Hey OrCam" and the subsequent voice command can now be used to operate OrCam MyEye completely hands-free.

OrCam MyEye is available in different versions.

• OrCam MyEye Smart offers the text reading function (from screens, signs, newspapers, etc.) as well as the new intelligent reading function, which allows users to call up specific information (date, word search) from texts using voice commands.
• OrCam MyEye PRO can read any text and identify faces. OrCam MyEye PRO can also recognize objects, banknotes and colors and scan and identify product barcodes. It can also help with orientation, tell the time and has an intelligent reading function.
• The OrCam MyEye 2.0 is listed in the Statuatory Health Insurance's Medical Aids Register under 07.99.04.6002.
