The Pennytalks is a voice-assisted label reader. It allows you to talk over self-adhesive electronic labels for a variety of uses, such as labeling frozen goods, medicines, CDs, clothing, documents, and food.
When touching the discussed label with the tip of the device, the stored acoustic information is played back. The recordings are stored in the Pennytalks on the supplied micro SD card with a capacity of 128
MB. The voice recordings on the respective labels can be deleted on the device if necessary. If necessary, the existing micro SD card can be replaced with a card with a higher storage capacity. Since the card content can be copied, no information is lost and the storage space can be expanded.
The 160 labels included with the Pennytalk are round and have a diameter of approx. 2
cm. Their edge has a tactile line so that the labels are easy to find. The included 72 labels for textiles are also tactilely marked and about 9.5
cm long. Pennytalks can be expanded with additional labels. Each label has a unique number. To avoid duplication, an extension pack of labels may only be used once. It is therefore recommended to use the additional packs one after the other. The tactile packs (A1 and A2) are blue and have a tactile marking. Packs B1 and B2 are gray and have no marking.
Users can set the Pennytalks to various languages using an included language card. German, Spanish, French, Dutch, Italian and Russian are available. The volume can be changed in several levels.
