With DL Tag It, blind people can search for and identify objects. Tag It was originally developed for a professional activity with the aim of managing objects independently and without sight, eg in warehouses. With DL Tag It, blind people can now identify every object, be it at work or in private households and leisure. The prerequisite is that the objects are marked accordingly. The system for marking objects is based on RFID technology (Radio Frequency Identification) and identifies objects that are equipped with RFID chips or tags or transponders. The information is output by computer, PDA or other end devices. Blind people receive them via speech or Braille display; Visually impaired people can also use a screen enlargement. In its mobile version, DL Tag It enables you to move freely around rooms and to find stored objects. It is designed as a modular system that is adapted to specific professional circumstances. DL Tag It works with approx. 15 RFID readers, runs on various PDAs and on the Pronto from Baum. It also integrates various devices such as the MileStone 312 SpeakOut from Bones.
