At the same time, a mini speaker is placed on the eyeglass temple near the ear.
The base unit is integrated with the camera unit so that the device is wireless.
The camera continuously captures the visual space in front of the user in the natural direction. Just as the user points their finger at a particular text, article or paragraph in the field of view, or alternatively operates a switch on the base unit, the device converts the visual information into audio information that is then output through the earphone.
The camera detects gestures benefits, such as pointing to a text or moving while looking at the watch. In the field of vision of the person wearing the OrCam, a photo is taken and the image / text information is analyzed. Special software converts the visual information in the base unit into audio information. The volume can be controlled by means of certain pushbuttons on the base unit.
If the ambient light is too dark for text recognition, the additional lighting is switched on automatically. Built-in Wi-Fi allows automatic software updates. Automatic Speech Recognition can automatically recognize the read-only language.
