Employer:

The employer is a health center with a physiotherapy practice that has recruited a deaf employee.

Disability and functional limitation of the employee:

The man is severely deaf and almost deaf. Due to disability, therefore, audible information must be amplified acoustically strong or changed so that they can be perceived by the man optically or tactile. He is able to communicate through verbal communication via the spoken language. The lips of the interlocutor should be easy to see, so hearing aids (hearing aids) in conjunction with lip-reading also enable him to understand spoken language. The man is also able to communicate through the sign language.

Education and job:

The man is a trained physiotherapist and was unemployed before being hired by the employer. He attended a seminar of the Integration / Inclusion Office to be better prepared for situations with hearing customers or persons to be treated. Workplace and work duties The physiotherapist is responsible for the care and treatment of sick people. When the persons enter the practice, in addition to an audible signal for the hearing workers, a signal is sent to the vibration detector of the physiotherapist who is hanging from his belt. The signal is generated by a motion detector on the door and transmitted by radio to the vibration detector. For telephone calls, the physiotherapist uses the Bluetooth interface on his hearing aids. Funding and participation:

The hearing aids were funded with a fixed amount from the statutory health insurance. The additional costs for the hearing aids with additional equipment such as Bluetooth had to be borne by the man himself. The workplace design was promoted by the employment agency as part of the new hiring. The Employment Agency or the Rehabilitation Team also employs a specialist integration service to assist with job placement and workplace design and promoted an integration grant as a wage subsidy to the employer.
