"My own voice" is a speech synthesis software with integrated text editor and integrated sentence tablet for use as a communication aid in connection with a PC or tablet. The program makes it possible to convert any text entered into speech ('text-to-speech') and have it spoken out in German in the user's own voice. For this purpose, voice recordings of the user before voice loss are required.

For people who are at risk of voice loss:
Initially, a voice recording of about 3 hours is to be carried out. At a later stage, when those affected are only able to express themselves in an insufficiently intelligible manner, the recorded voice is inserted into software so that they can continue to communicate using their own voice.

Speech synthesis:

• individually produced speech synthesis based on professionally guided voice recordings

• editable exception dictionary for special or deviating pronunciation can be created
