An interactive whiteboard or IWB is a large interactive screen that combines the simplicity of a whiteboard, the power of a computer and a projector.

The SMART Board is an interactive whiteboard with HD resolution. It can be operated by up to two users in parallel, either by hand, sponge or pen. In combination with other products of the SMART series, for example the SMART Document Camera, it is possible to either hold interactive and multimedia lessons or use the whiteboard for video conferencing.

Teachers, for example, can use the whiteboard to prepare their lessons at home, saving effort and time during the lesson. This can especially reduce the burden on physically challenged teachers, as they do not have to stand at the whiteboard during the entire lesson or use multiple work tools such as chalk, ruler or compasses at the same time, for example.
