Areas of Application:
- Visual impairment
Panasonic has launched a series of talking TV sets. The voice output was installed under the name Voice Guidance in most devices from the Viera series. Almost all Panasonic models currently have this function. Blind and visually impaired people can independently find their favorite program independently of their residual vision, discover new programs via the electronic program guide (EPG) and listen to their description. You can switch between the individual programs without having to remember the order of the channels, activate the audio description, set a recording timer and play the recorded program again. These functions are available in every supported device at no extra charge. The Voice Guidance function outputs important screen messages and supports the most frequently used menus. After you have familiarized yourself with the functions of the device, you can switch to expert mode, in which only the most important information is spoken. If you call up a menu that is not yet supported by Voice Guidance, you will receive a corresponding message.
