In partner work, users can activate the can opener with the slightest or uncoordinated movements. It is sufficient if the users can trigger external buttons or sensors. For this purpose, the can opener has a connection for pushbuttons with a 3.5 mm jack plug.
The caregiver places the can opener on the can so that the edge of the can is between the cutting wheel and the toothed drive edge. As soon as a connected button is pressed, the cutting wheel pulls into the can rim and the drive wheel moves the can opener in a circle. The button only needs to be pressed in the first phase, after which the can opener continues to run automatically for approx. 20 seconds without the button having to be pressed.
