The Goal Ball goal has been specially developed for the Paralympic sport for the visually impaired and the blind . The length of the goal differs from a conventional field goal. In goalball, 3 players from each team compete against each other. The game is played 2 x 12 minutes on a 9 meter wide and 18 meter long field. The ball marked with a bell is to be thrown into the opponents goal. The opposing team can fend off the ball by throwing themselves in its way.
