Assistive Product Veeh-Harfen

Product Type:

Various harps with simplified notation

Description:

The Veeh harp is a flat wooden box with a slightly curved shape, on which 14 to 37 strings of different lengths are strung, depending on the model. It is plucked standing upright or resting on the lap. The melody is read from top to bottom like a text. A special notation system has been developed for playing monophonic or polyphonic pieces of music, which is easier to understand and learn than the usual notation used by musicians: the sheet of music is placed on the instrument under the strings and shows the sequence of notes with the help of dots connected by a zigzag line. This system is also quickly understood and implemented by people with learning difficulties, young children and old people who have never learned to read music. Non-professionals can also use the music transfer ruler to make an underlay of any piece of music in classical notation.
