Environmental control systems and remote controls

Environmental control systems enable devices to be operated using alternative controls such as a special button, by voice, eyelid or eye movement, or by means of a suction/blow function. The signals are usually transmitted to the respective devices via infrared or radio.

Various devices and installations can be operated remotely in the home or job environment, for example heating systems, doors, windows, shutters and curtains, as well as consumer electronics and many other devices. Environmental control systems are often integrated into communicators or wheelchair controls. There are also many apps from various providers that can be used to control devices in the environment.
