The catapult seat consists of a base plate and a movable seat part. The seat part of the catapult seat is adjustable to the person's weight from 35 kg to max. 165 kg by means of a spring preload. The catapult seat rising aid can therefore be used on different chairs or armchairs.
The gas spring preload causes the seat surface to push slightly upwards. As a result, part of the body weight is lifted up by the catapult seat. Initialization takes place through the muscular initiation of the stand-up function.
The catapult seat is not intended for the entire body weight to be lifted, but only part of it. It reduces the necessary body strength, not replaces it.
After standing up, the seat remains up until the user sits down again. Sitting down is then cushioned by the gas spring.
