The man is a trained nurse and works as a group leader in a severely disabled group.
Workplace and work task (actual state):
The group leader's area of responsibility in the severely disabled group also includes the care of wheelchair users. Among other things, the nurse must help patients to go to the toilet. In doing so, the patients must be helped from the wheelchair onto the toilet or onto a standing board (for undressing). Due to the disability, the nurse finds it difficult to lift and support the patients (weight up to 80 kg) when transferring to the standing board.
Workplace and work task (target condition):
Due to the changing work locations, it is necessary to purchase a mobile patient lifting aid to equip the workplace suitable for disabled people. The patient raising aid has a belt that is attached to the patient below the arms. This type of raising aid makes it much easier for wheelchair users to stand up from a seated position on the standing board, thus helping to reduce the physical strain on the nurse.
