The LPS manufacturing assistance system uses ultrasonic technology to identify, locate, and position tools in assembly processes.

QualityAssist ensures error-free manual work processes by acting as an electronic work instruction that monitors compliance. The correct work steps are memorized, and the system monitors movements and the position of tools, correcting them as needed.

Local Positioning System (LPS): Transmitters send ultrasonic signals from the wrist of the workpiece carrier, which are calculated by the receiver unit to precisely position the workpieces with an accuracy of 1 mm.

PositionBox determines the 3D position of handling systems or tools without the need for length and angle measuring systems. The evaluation takes place in the customer system via digital I/Os and an Ethernet interface.
