Employees who drive vehicles at work are exposed to whole-body vibrations. It is important for employees to be able to link their own perception of vibrations with an external assessment: This makes them aware of the strain and enables them to help reduce it themselves by adapting their driving style and adjusting their seat appropriately. The Institute for Occupational Safety and Health of the German Social Accident Insurance (IFA) has developed an easy-to-use stress indicator. It informs employees about their current vibration exposure using a traffic light scheme on the screen.

Interested parties can borrow the SHI exposure indicator from the IFA free of charge via their accident insurance institution.
