Profile comparison procedure in vocational rehabilitation

MELBA - Merkmalprofile zur Eingliederung Leistungsgewandelter und Behinderter in Arbeit - is an assessment procedure for determining and comparing ability profiles and requirement profiles. The profile comparison procedure is used in vocational rehabilitation, as well as for questions relating to personnel selection, occupational integration management, workplace design and much more.

The basic instrument MELBA deals with "soft skills" or key qualifications. The requirement profiles document which of these soft skills are necessary to perform a certain job and to what extent; the ability profiles show which of these key skills a person has (at a certain point in time). The profile comparison can then be used to show and assess the fit between skills and requirements.
