Bricklaying by hand involves bending over, working above shoulder height and handling loads. This places considerable strain on the spine and the shoulder-arm system. The use of moving aids, e.g. mini cranes when moving large-format or several small-format bricks, can reduce lifting and carrying loads as well as forced postures.
