The ergonomic grip zone enables back-friendly carrying of stepladders. The grip zone is attached to the ladder in such a way that the user holds the ladder at its center of gravity, i.e. at the optimum carrying point. Due to the ergonomic design, the grip zone nestles in the hand of the wearer, whether left or right. Due to the high temperature resistance of the plastic, the grip zone still lies comfortably in the hand even at the height of summer and in sub-zero temperatures in winter. The integrated clamping mechanism secures the stiles of the ladder when folded. It locks them in place, making it easier to carry the ladder.

The ergo-pad is a standard feature of all Günzburger Steigtechnik stepladders at no extra charge.
