Gripping and control devices
Hand magnets, carrying claws, hand wheels, ball handles, levers or pedals make it easier to turn, switch, grasp or hold objects when arm-hand function is limited.
Operating parts (or actuators) must be easily accessible and smooth-running when seated. A rough and ribbed surface is advantageous so that fingers do not slip off. Pushbuttons and rocker keys are often preferred to rotary knobs because they are easier to handle.
