S3 shoes are often required on construction sites, company yards and in workshops. In most cases, the puncture resistance of the sole and the rigidity of the toe cap are ensured by using steel. When lighter substitute materials are used, a weight reduction of approx. 20% is achieved with the same mechanical stability.
The lighter material, in combination with the reduced flexural rigidity of the sole, leads to increased wearer comfort and reduced wearer fatigue. The special consideration of the anatomical structures in the ankle joint increases protection against twisting and significantly improves wearer comfort.
