  • Send signals for a variety of purposes, for the hearing-impaired visual or tactile (vibration) signals
  • Send signals for a variety of purposes, for blind people audible or tactile signals

Watches and timekeepers can:

  • Provide dates or appointments for the blind both tactile and by speech output
  • Provide alarms or appointments for people with a hearing impairment via flash mode and vibration

Emergency,alarm, and surveillance systems can:

  • Signal fire, movement and emergencies, for the immediate environment or a central monitoring station
  • Monitor the condition and whereabouts of persons
  • Locate disoriented persons
